The onCDROM.com directory uses a method known as link popularity, a method used by some search engines to rank your relevancy as a website. The Search Engines use this method to determine how many links you have on your site and how many reciprocal links are returned back to you. It is important to know that by simply placing someone's link on your site does not give you any advantage unless that site links back to you. Link popularity is very important to some search engines for ranking because they are now using this in their ranking formula. It is important to note that the quality of the links may outweigh the quantity.
Please feel free to suggest any quality sites or new categories. Getting listed is free, but we do require a reciprocal link. Your reciprocal link does not have to reside on the homepage, but does need be on a page that is linked to the homepage. This is to assure that the search engine spiders are able to find the link. The criteria for sites we list in our directory is as follows:
- Sites must be CD manufacturing or technology sales related. All other websites will not be included in the onCDROM.com directory. We may reject your link if we determine, in our sole discretion, that your site is unsuitable for inclusion. Unsuitable sites include, but are not limited to, those that: promote sexually explicit materials; promote violence; promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; promote illegal activities; or violate intellectual property rights. If we reject your link you may email us your reasons why you think it should have been included and we will reconsider your request. The placement of your link will be determined by your site's category/subject matter.
- If you have multiple versions of a site then please only suggest the main domain name.
- If your site has been blacklisted by Google or any of the other major search engines, please do not attempt to submit your URL. If you were unfortunate enough to be banned, we suggest you get a new URL and start over.
- You MUST provide a reciprocal link back to us before we will list your website in our directory. Without adding us to your website defeats the purpose of increasing link popularity to your website. Our information is as follows:
